Hi, I'm Dick Tres & I tutor Latin, the amazing language of the ancient Romans. Just think, it was the language spoken by Julius Caesar! But Latin is much more than that. It's the language of churches, scientists, doctors, lawyers & scholars. I started learning it as an altar boy in elementary school, took it as a class in high school, majored in Classical languages (Latin & Ancient Greek) in college, specialized in it in grad school and UC of Berkeley, and taught it for years here in Napa at Justin-Siena High School, at Napa Valley College and, of course, here at The Oxbow School. In addition to the wonderful literature, rich history and fascinating archaeology of the Romans, Latin has made me an expert in grammar and vocabulary and honed my problem-solving abilities!
