The beauty of mathematics has always captivated and fascinated me. I spent my time at The University of Georgia investigating the relationship that mathematics has to our understanding of the universe. After I graduated, I spent three years teaching math and science at various schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Then, I discovered my passion for compassionate communities during my foray into camp counseling at Camp Augusta. Through my search for a school that shares my value for empathic community, my passion for the aesthetics of mathematics and art, and my goal to empower students to discover their own answers to academic puzzles, I found the Oxbow School and became an enthusiastic member of their team. My goal at the Oxbow School is to provide the framework for students to discover the same beauty and sense of awe in math that has captivated me for years.
