LK Maine Sadie

LK Sleat

Dean of Students, Printmaking

LK Sleat hails from the east coast, where she spent most of her life immersed in nature. This influence has been visible in her artwork, which employs botanical dye methods, prints, painting, and mixed media imagery. After receiving her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she has served as an instructor at MICA, American University, Georgia College and State University, and a number of private schools in the USA and Rwanda.

Additionally, LK has worked for the College Board for two decades as an Advanced Placement Studio Art Leader, evaluating art portfolios. When not in the classroom, she resides in Maine for the summertime with her beloved Irish wolfhound, Sadie. It is here where she maintains her studio practice. Joining Oxbow is a long-awaited dream come true.
