Oxbow community members and alumni have been busy! Here is a short list of just some of the Oxbow community that are taking action and where you can find them:

  • OS15 Megan, @meganbroughtonartist: Prints. all proceeds to African American Policy Form (will cycle through prints and benefit a new organization each month)
  • OS20 Jason, @jasonedwardtucker: Single Edition Silver Gelatin Mordançage Prints and cyanotype handkerchiefs. All proceeds to Authority Collective and Black Visions Collective and The Okra Project
  • OS35 Meghan, @sneggymeg: shrinky dink earrings and lino prints. All proceeds to a Bailout Fund or other Black-run organization of your choice.
  • OS35 Simcha and housemate Maor: @5000ladybugs / @berrypit bakesalepdx@gmail.com: Portland, Oregon based bake sale offering a variety of baked goods delivered in Portland, OR. Hoping to expand to provide free hot meals for POC in Portland (especially Black and trans folks) who want or need them right now and pay-what-you-can meals for everybody else! Bake Sale proceeds go to a revolving group of organizations including Portland General Defense Committee's Bail Fund, Reclaim the Block, Black Visions Collective, Black Trans Femmes in the Arts' Black and Trans Protestor Emergency Fund, and Equitable Giving Circle's BIPOC CSA Fund.

  • OS39 Eli: commissions @eli.makes.art choose between: Black Lives Matter, The American Civil Liberties (ACLU), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, George Floyd Memorial Fund, Minnesota Freedom Fund, Reclaim The Block, National Bail Out, Bail Project, Black Visions Collective, Campaign Zero, National Bail Fund Network, The innocent Project, Run With Maud, Justice For Breonna, Anti Police-Terror Project, Community Ready Corps. Along with this, Eli is working on creating an artist collective called "Artists to Action" where the main focus is selling art to raise money for the BLM movement. The handle for the collective is @artists_to_action and the collective will be live soon. Artists in the collective are: Colleen Ryan OS39 , Phoebe Dubisch OS39, Maya Callaway OS39, Quinn Jonas OS39, and Katya Pellerin.
