Dear Oxbow community,

As we spend this week expressing gratitude for friends and family, I would like to extend my gratitude to you for being part of the larger Oxbow story. It is our personal connection and shared commitment to an equitable arts education that enables us to invite young scholars and artists from across the country. When students participate in a semester at Oxbow, they are welcomed into a community of like-minded artists and undergo a life altering transformation that sets them on the path to be proactive citizens in the world. It is truly inspiring to be witness to the work our students do and, more important, to participate in a story that is bigger than me. You are also an important voice in this narrative.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and trustees, I invite you to support us in our efforts to raise scholarship funds for students who would otherwise be unable to attend Oxbow. Approximately half of all students are awarded financial aid each semester and I am proud to celebrate the ten students this academic year who were awarded full scholarship. This cannot happen without your vision, dedication, and philanthropic support. Please contribute towards our Annual Scholarship Fund before December 31 to take advantage of the tax benefits associated with year-end giving.

Your support is vital to our continued success and is a symbolic vote of confidence for the important work we are doing at Oxbow. Together, we are changing lives. I wish you a wonderful holiday filled with laughter and love.

At Oxbow, I got to try inquiry-based learning for the first time. This allowed me to control the amount of rigor and the depth of research in my topic, as well as picking a topic that I found most interesting. Oxbow School is one of the preeminent choices for creative high school students interested in the arts.
