Ramona Magsaysay has a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and is working in New York focusing on fashion illustration and production assistance work. She most recently was a production/staffing coordinator for the MET Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also works on some similar fashion assistance work with a few magazines for Vogue and other publications. She is still painting and active in her artistic practice and has shown in a few small galleries in Brooklyn. See Ramona's fashion illustration and current work.

The art that goes on in most high schools is usually relatively skill-based. At Oxbow, there is more emphasis on looking and seeing and more critical thinking about what you are doing, the human connection, that personal element. Through art you can begin to understand yourself better. That may be the biggest eye-opener for students. It is almost a preview of college. Get out of the mechanical factory high school education and get into something open, new, and invigorating in a small environment.
