Terra Brazier

Head Counselor

Terra grew up on the coast of Maine and went to an agriculture high school, where they had the opportunity to design their own curriculum and dig deep into their art practice. During their senior year of high school, Terra attended the Oxbow Semester School (OS32) and fell in love with the campus and Napa. They then went to Hampshire College, where they continued to explore visual art, while also including education in their practice. These two disciplines were shown in a new light for Terra when they began working in the studio of the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, a space that allowed them to refine their teaching skills as well as discover new forms of art making. For their senior independent project at Hampshire, Terra wrote and illustrated a letter to their younger self, titled “Dear Terra.” Terra is looking forward to the opportunity to return to Oxbow and the community it cultivates.
