Colby Case
Summer Teaching Artist-In-Residence
Colby Case (OS39) (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator raised in San Francisco, California. Her work explores materiality as a vehicle for communication and connection. Throughout her practice, she has always found inspiration in the bold, disruptive, and tenacious power of vulnerability. Before her fellowship at Oxbow, she worked as a sculptural fabricator for Barnacle Bros. and for Rebecca Manson for her 2021 exhibition at The Armory Show. Colby is currently in the process of receiving her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. At the Oxbow School, she looks forward to highlighting the importance of community-based and experimental art-making, as shown during her transformative semester as a student.
