Will Binnie's MFA Final Thesis Show Dense Fog Advisory is at the Pollock Gallery at Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX from April 4 - 18, 2014. The opening reception is on April 4th from 6-8pm. At the same time, he's in a group show Everything is Better in Public at Beefhaus in Dallas and the opening reception is April 4th from 8-10pm.

Will was nominated for and will be an artist in residence at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in Captiva, FL this summer and then travels to Sao Paulo, Brazil for another artist residency for three months.

Carly White

Burning Man sculpture

Carly White had a sculptural installation at Burning Man where once a year participants gather in Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. They depart one week later, having left no trace whatsoever. She also worked with executive producers Jorge Hinojosa and Ice-T as the Animation Director on their short film about Iceberg Slim's life.

Crystal Allen

Crystal Allen graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Sculpture and a dual emphasis in Robotics in 2010. She followed that up with a 3 month bike tour, 3 months backpacking in Mexico and continued her education in electronics and engineering at Makani Power|Airborne Wind Energy. She recently returned from a 6 month sailing voyage and is living in Oakland working with artists and gardeners. She aspires to build a creative space to undertake new artistic experiments.

Carly White

Carly White worked as a graphic designer and animator on the "Rocky Das Musical" theatre production in Hamburg Germany. While living in Paris she shot a short animated film about Iceberg Slim. The animation is a continuation of a feature length documentary that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. See more of Carly's work at www.fabricatedreams.com.

James Roux

James Roux is living in New York City, working in a gallery that specializes in Japanese wood block prints and also as an intern/artist assistant in Mickalene Thomas' studio. He's worked in the art department on various commercials and television shows. He sees fellow alum Tyler Putnam all the time and occasionally Lucy Cottrell. James' little brother will be attending Oxbow in the Spring of 2012!

Through Oxbow I was able to hone into the ideas I was thinking about, to refine my artistic process and to see the world in a new light every day of my life. I'm not going to say that without Oxbow I wouldn't be the person I am today, but I will say that without Oxbow it would have taken me at least four years to become who I am after one Oxbow semester.

Hey guys! OS33 alumni here! I received a full ride to California College of the Arts and just wanted to tell you guys that if it wasn't for the Oxbow experience and the great faculty who saw the potential in me I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did.
