She is releasing her fall/winter collection with Allegiance Skateboard, the entire site is about to undergo a drastic switch to involve much more of the community! Anyone involved will be able to login and post what inspires them, what they have been making, etc. She meets new people nearly everyday through Allegiance, and it has truly been a remarkable journey so far, all from the love of art and skateboarding!

Katarina Schmidt

06/29/11

Katarina Schmidt just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Central Washington University with a BA in Art and a BA in Anthropology! She's taking a break to live school free and adventure-full. Look for her art showing in the Pacific Northwest, or on her web-site at www.rekartak.weebly.com. She's been in touch with Oxbow OS12 alumni Lisa and Katelyn. She's traveling to the west coast this summer and then in search of an artistic career based in the social services. To quote Katie "Hooray for art and people! (and dinosaurs and battleships still, of course)."

She hopes all is well in the Bay Area, and that Oxbow is flourishing. If there are any Oxbow alumni from the Pacific Northwest or who are now working in the Northwest she would love to connect, network, do some community art! Please contact her by email at rekartak@gmail.com.
